    So how is the different parts and subsystems going to communicate with each other?
    Will use it CAN bus?
    Something like D-Bus would be nice.

      Shame... "1.3 million people die each year as a result of road traffic crashes" according to the World Health Organization.

      For some reason people find these figures acceptable.

      Now Open Source is participating in this murderous business and potentially making it worse by adding (1) sources of distraction to drivers and (2) an immensely wider array of malfunction possibilities. These will all work together to make automobiles even more deadly than they already are. How cool is this?

      It would be lovely to have the same amount of money that's being poured into automobile tech instead be spent combating climate change and otherwise improving the human condition everywhere on this planet.

      Shame.
