Pulseaudio update to QuodLibet broke internet radio playing with Alsa.

Debian testing is in Freeze, so file a bug now or never

It is not that pulseaudio breaks alsa, but gstreamer pulseaudio plugin which is maded dependancy of quodlibet breaks something for you it seems... Package depends on gstreamer alsa and pulseaudio so it should work with both... so file a bug for quodlibet and maintainer might fix it or you might get advice how to fix or workaround an issue if it happen to be specific to your system.

Pulseaudio update to QuodLibet broke internet radio playing with Alsa. Vlc works fine with Alsa. Xfce developers should use Alsa and Gstreamer compatible apps instead of pulseaudio. High end music production and gaming computers do not have pulseaudio.

Funny, I've had several high end Linux gaming PCs in the past 8 years (even before Steam4Linux), and never had a single issue with pulseaudio. Perhaps in your case the issue lies behind the keyboard?

Buggy software like pulseaudio, networkmanager and gnome3 maybe is standard in other side of the Atlantic but not in more civilized world. Pulseaudio came to Xfce year or two ago with a fake reason that xfce-mixer was not portable to gstreamer 1.0. Gstreamer is used in the industry, like automotive industry and is lighter and stable.

And nothing of these are hard dependancy to use linux, neither is that gstreamer even... you see, everybody can complain on something.

You don't need to use any of these, these are just layers and GUIs which made things more easeir to be used by average Joe of today

You can use console linux setup not a problem, there mouse is not a dependancy... it is not a joke i remember dos and commodore days where users complained when some apps required mouse to be more useful.

Speak for yourself, on my gaming rig PulseAudio works just fine.

We do not use pulse audio in fortress Evropa. Also, mplayer will do, bound to media file types in thunar.

And again, speak for yourself. I am European and I use PulseAudio.

In m expierience most to all audio and video apps I know happily work with either alsa or pulse, parole included. So, no need to bash one or the other. I personally favour alsa, but that's just personal taste.

It have various translations it seems... could be someone who give "honest word" or "statement" or "pasword" or "mottos" or yeah even that conditional releasing or who knows might be even that some sort of slang for someone who is conditionally released from prison

But i guess it is first variant something like "Parole == IMHO" I would even better say someone who uses "IMHO" too much

For a prisoner "parole" means for a prisoner to give his word to obey some conditions. In return for his word, he is released.

So it makes sense for "parole" to mean "honest word."
