Sounds like something used for childporn!
I thought the name referred to being "freed" of a heavy GUI and complicated options, but maybe the other explanations are correct. Either way, it's ridiculous to associate it with kiddie porn. That's like saying Ubuntu codenames make you think of bestiality.

Aren't you from Russia? You know. The only place outside of the Islamic world where state sanctioned wife beating is actually a thing?

In any case. It appears you still don't seem to understand the difference between a sound server and a multimedia framework.
To quote the so-called POTUS: "sad"

Well it would if the codenames were Dripping Donkey, Erect Elk, Flaccid Falcon, Horny Hedgehog, Jizzy Jackalope, Naughty Narwhal, Orgasmic Ocelot, Sexy Salamander, Slutty Shark, Tight Tigress and Wet Warthog.

... except that "parole" is a more common word than "ubuntu". I mean: look at your friends/family, the media and the internet. How many times do you see the word "parole" being used regarding prisoners? And how many times do you see the word "ubuntu" being used aside from the "it's a Linux OS" meaning? Exactly.

So what? Even if it is referring to a jail situation, parole is a positive thing. It is being freed.

That's the problem right there. Your mind's in the gutter.

No, it is a negative thing. I don't want people in jail to get free. I want them to locked up, not get back out to cause more problems.

So someone who raped 50 children, gets sentenced for 13 years and then goes on parole after 10 years and authorities can't say for sure that he isn't gonna do it again. Is parole still a positive thing then? I don't think so. Me and lots of other citizens agree that that's not a good thing.
