If you have persistent accounts, everyone gets his/her own account, nothing to workaround on the desktop level. If you want, use encryption for the home folder, but this should be done on the system level, e.g. use LUKS or encFS, and use pam_mount to mount your home partition on login.
If you have nonpersistent logins, e.g. for one time visitor in an internet cafe or a guest account on your computer, wipe the whole home partition on logout (use e.g pam_exec) and create a fresh home on login (pam_mkhomedir).
