    I wish they call it 2024.2. "24.2" is too easy to confuse with non-date versioning.

            By coincidence OnlyOffice 8.0.0 was also released today.
            The most important thing in this release was RTL Support which was the only thing that was missing to use it instead of LO.

              LO is open source, OO is proprietary online-based ransomware.

                It's an opensource project https://github.com/ONLYOFFICE under AGPL-3.0-or-later License.

                Many of their projects are online-based, but their desktop editors are not. I could use them without internet.

                  OnlyOffice is FOSS and has offline desktop and mobile apps.

                  The UI is much better than LibreOffice and compatibility with MS Office also seems to be better. Though OO is still missing lots of features that LO and MSO have.
