    Just wait for the EU's "Chat Control" and even KDE Software will be forced to include backdoors and automatic sending of user files to law enforcement agencies.

              Just because US do stuff like this, doesn't mean everybody is also doing it. One can argue Europe or everybody else is cleaning mess the US made by supporting project like this.

                So you mean the new EU legislation that's being prepared is fake?
                Are our online communications secure? Who has access to them? Sci-Fi movies have in the past often explored a reality in which some kind of Big Brother system monitors our every action. However, this does not realistically depict the present - not yet.

                  Maybe that's true, but I've seen europe cracking up monopolistic practices of big companies, which is not going to be addressed if Europe never stepped in.
