      Relying on a COPR that's someone's minor hobby project for my main DE wouldn't be ideal. It would be awesome if they had modular builds for a rolling(ish) KDE.

                Nah, it's Nvidia that doesn't provide standard Wayland support through GBM.
                EGL Streams implementations are buggy and incomplete on every single compositor that has merged support for Nvidia's blob and that doesn't even take into consideration how there's absolutely no 3d acceleration under XWayland or other missing features.

                  Partial is better than none
                  And acceleration doesn't really exist with NVIDIA, but that's about to change
