      Ugh, okay so I think that the per screen clocks is going to fix the issue with Displaylink hubs; which was introduced in Gnome 3.36 (for good reasons). The down side is that Ubuntu 20.04 is locked into 3.36 for the next 5 years and I was really hoping that I could run an LTS release for more than 6 months this time. Le sigh.

      The upside is that my dual 4k 60hz and 144hz 2560x1440 screens might play together a little better now without me having to down clock the 144hz screen to 75hz (or else it's just a black screen).
