Now THAT would be nice to have, for those Win-things you still need to use (but without the viruses or crap)

We had Wine, now we also have Fine.

I will call it ENWI, hmm? (Emulator Not Wine Is, hmm?)

It works in so many context. I Enwi this Linux app. Enwi brings Linux apps to Windows...

Bash, Nano, Vim, Pacman, Wget can already be run on Windows, natively.

Necessity is the mother of all inventions.

So many years of improvements and the kernel is still sorely lacking a descent BSOD, something had to be done ! Now Linux binaries will have their fair chances at last.

Seriously, this is really nice, much potentials.

You never actually said what the actual problem was. Putty (or whatever SSH client you prefer) works just fine on Windows. Simply running SSH from a Windows client won't break a Linux server.

Meh. A curiosity, nothing more. As Linux users who might occasionally need to run some pesky legacy windows app, this is pretty much the inverse of what we need.

True, and almost all closed-source programs are also on Windows too.

The main benefit I can see of stuff like this (if cygwin can't do it - I'm not sure) is running X applications over SSH.
