Unless the developers working on the display stack can provide the assurance that the xserver portion of Xorg will never be dropped forever in order to support XWayland (just like Windows can never drop the older display driver model from XP and earlier for compatibility purposes), it's imperative that we get used to Wayland right now.
wayland will never take hold on linux as it lacks protocols for universal desktop work loads. as long as OBS doesnt work its a crippled piece of software that goes in the trash.

switched from KDE back to windows. it was primarily for work however i no longer needed it for work but decided to stay on windows 10 anyway. All my server work stays on a gentoo vps but would like to replace the degrading kernel with something else one day... would like to try gentoo on a BSD. Windows 10 desktop is much more productive than KDE trash. Not even gonna bother trying gnome as its the same wayland/x11/mesa/driver mess. No thanks. The current linux devs did a great job killing KISS and the linux desktop.
