      It's been 15 years and many apps (Firefox, Chrome, VLC, etc) still don't use Wayland by default, using xWayland instead...

        Firefox defaults to Wayland since v121. In the case of other apps, these will likely switch in the near future now that Wayland is at long last becoming the default session in the various DEs/distros.

            I guess to fully work some work with multi-seat is still required in common desktops. E.g. https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome..._requests/2230
