no one gives a shit what you are are running. we are talking about where the industry is headed and where it originated from. fedora was the first distro to release with pipewire and ubuntu and debian quickly followed. 2 years from now everyone will be using it.

Not by default on most distros.
ubuntu, fedora and debian are all using wayland by default(which makes up the overwhelming majority of desktop linux installs). popos and mint are both moving towards using wayland and would already be using it today if they could. wayland is the future and it was released by fedora first.

Wasn't Ubuntu first to push this?
If only there was a way to check when Fedora added pulseaudio (Fedora core 8 released in 2007) and when Ubuntu added pulseaudio (Ubuntu 8.04 released in 2008). You do realize that lennart worked for redhat for nearly a decade and a half right?

Not even installed here. And neither on the most popular distro (Ubuntu). Get fucked.
Once again no one gives a shit what you are running. Second nearly every distro that isn't directly under the thumb of canonical is using flatpak by default. This isn't just limited to Fedora and debian. This includes even the ubuntu spinoffs like linux mint, elementary os and pop os. Hell even the steam deck running steamos is using flatpak.

Coming from the guy who got 4 out of 5 wrong, that sure means a lot indeed.
    You are impressively stupid.

Wait for 2024/2025, Don't be so hasty. These projects are imminent. So it's useless to compare them to the current time.

By the way, many times I read comments about the concerns on legacy hardware. However, this is not the main concern for end-users. End-users make investments on hardware based on taking benefit in software usage. End-users get new hardware if the technology improves in optimization assuring benefits. So, the better is the software the more is the propensity to get new hardware.

No one gives a shit about your "industry". I can make the same claim. It's all in your delusion. That's what you THINK.

          Prove it or shut it.

Define "industry" in quantifiable, measurable terms, scientifically. Otherwise shut it.

Ubuntu LTS to have it on by default hasn't been released yet. You're such a clown. And that's the default spin, how about those with DEs which don't even support it? xd

Yeah we all know Mint will use Wayland by default especially on MATE or Cinamon or XFCE!

You're such a joke it's not even funny at this point. Not to mention nobody gives a shit about DEFAULTS, you were talking about them being removed completely. Don't backtrack on your pathetic claims, clown.

It is impressive you manage to be the entire circus.

              No they won't.
They still have to keep it for all the X11 based spins, these SIGs will need to keep it at the very least packaged.

In addition to that there is Wayland will stay in for the foreseeable future.
