I mean it's new enough that strictly speaking I don't think anybody is using it that isn't a fan of the language, nobody is as yet being forced to learn it. However as Tomin pointed out there's plenty of companies jumping on board, and there's plenty of new open source projects such as Redox, Ion shell, and vulkano and there's been developers from both the KDE and GNOME camps playing with Rust.

I'd simply take it as a Rust fan's way of expressing worthiness...
