For moments like this I feel like there should be an additional status. For example, "functional", where a feature works the way it is supposed to but needs refinement, whereas "done" would mean that the feature is working as expected, and isn't in need of further modification. That obviously doesn't mean further modification can't or shouldn't be done, but rather it isn't enough of a priority, whereas something marked "functional" means it needs attention but is "good enough" for everyday use.

No, the application has to explicitly request an no-error context, or you have to force it by setting the MESA_NO_ERROR env var. Exposing GL 4.6 just means that the driver guarantees that the extionsion is available.
