Hopefully it's not just fans, but LEDs too. The Fury X GPUs have broken status LEDs for anyone not using the ancient Catalyst drivers, and I get constant complaints from my spouse because it appears I'm always running my cards at max power.

So, I can finally have a native settings for my custom fan-curve instead of relying on aur-packages? Oh please yes!

Fan info wasn't in by default, interesting. No wonder the new "CCC" isn't ported even though it is Qt. Some important features it handles aren't even implemented yet.

Yep, there was some discussion of this a couple of months ago - porting CCC will become feasible, but all the plumbing needs to go into the driver first.

Is anyone able to boot with 4.10-wip using the amdgpu Kernel driver on SI Cards?

We've always exposed pwm based fan information (aka percent based fan info). All cards support percent based fan info. This patch just exposes rpm based fan info if available as well.
