It's not that simple. This AMD-specific UAPI will explicitly not be available to user space in upstream kernels; it requires patching the kernel, which implies no upstream UAPI guarantees — if you use it and it breaks, you get to keep both pieces.

So, other compositors are more likely to wait for the vendor neutral UAPI which has been discussed since the hackfest in Brno.
