          Is that installing ROCm? Are you installing it/upgrading it it along side the distro's amdgpu? If so that doesn't make sense as my understanding is that ROCm is suppossed to use the distros amdgpu/mesa stack and really just handle the openCL part. That was what caused all the fuss earlier in the year when AMD made their announcement then walked it back.

            I think the problem occurred when I tried to install amdgpu-pro. I am very happy with the in-kernel amdgpu and will not mess around.
