    So far nvidia is the only gpu maker that pushes the gpu processing ahead. They know how to conquer the market. It's not any kindness.
    Amd and her silly nonsense not knowing what to do. Intel and her overpower trying to force the market with only processing through the cpus.
    Qualcomm made a decent gpu, but only for mobile.
    If Intel and amd doesn't wanted to sell cpus overpriced, the opencl would be a great technology.
    Not only games and science, but other common tasks processing through the gpus.

      Actually they do check, since version 186 of the Geforce driver, they check if an ATI/AMD card is present in the system and if one is, PhysX GPU processing is disabled for Nvidia card present on the system.

      Basically before that version you could have AMD GPU as main GPU, with a low end Nvidia card dedicated to PhysX processing.

        Now it is, but it used to not be. That's how there were relatively successful attempts to get "ATI PhysX" by hacking the binaries:
