Will Khronos Group ever make a OpenGL 4.6 release or is it all about Vulkan now?

Khronos have stated that they had no plans to deprecate OpenGL over Vulkan, they have different usages and complexities after all.

If it's fixed then it's great since i think AMD stopped pushing extensions since this bug was a blocker for OpenGL 4.3, but AMD has so much to do right now so there might have been other reasons/priorities as well.
And i think it's better for AMD to wait until next mesa for OpenGL4.5 so it can be more tested and not stress it.

While Khronos support for OpenGL is alive and well (Vulkan is low level API, high level API is still required for lot of applications outside gaming), I don't think we will see 4.6 any time soon, as 4.3 - 4.5 covered everything they could to make OpenGL competitive.

I think no one will wait or hold back stuff for release. Autumn release is more important of course as it will end up in distributions and will be user tested more than this one.

...they should work on haswell. Opengl3.3 ? Even this older chip should support 4.3

"they" (intel) concentrated on vulkan 2 years ago
