      However, you convinced me.
      It indeed offers finally a benefit, with very little tradeoffs.
      The only tradeoff i see is just a bit less performance, the space that is required on the memory for ECC is negligible.

        LPDDR5 and in-band ECC, even! Only soldered-down, I think. They don't specify which CPU model(s) support in-band ECC, but I'd guess only the Atom x7425E.

          I have followed the company, since the introduction of their original UpBoard, but never ended up buying any of their hardware.
