RadeonHD 1.2.5 Driver Released

The xf86-video-radeonhd 1.2.5 driver was announced by Matthias Hopf and it has a few noteworthy features. The key additions in the 1.2.5 release is 2D acceleration support for the R600/700 graphics processors (this requires an updated DRM that either needs to be back-ported to your kernel or use Linux 2.6.30+), X-Video support for the R600/700 GPUs, mode-setting support for the unreleased RS880 and Radeon HD 4890 (RV790), and is compliant with the RandR 1.3 mandatory properties.
Additionally, the xf86-video-radeonhd 1.2.5 driver has some reworked code, DRI support is finally enabled by default on ATI R500/RS600 hardware, LUT fixes, and fix register accesses for processors that reorder memory writes.
The official release announcement of the RadeonHD 1.2.5 driver along with source driver download links can be found on the X.Org mailing list.
