    It has nothing to do with Atom and never has. They are both building on Electron but that is just a base platform, you don't call two different QT apps the same thing right?

      Yeah, I'm also curious as to why Visual Studio Code's development process only deserve to be described as open in quotation marks

        Honestly, when it comes to javascript, I still think js2-mode and auto-complete in emacs is excellent. The right amount of feedback for realtime editing, gets out of your way so that you can focus on reasoning about and writing the code.
