Gankra's post is more of a "Hey, I'm doing this work and I'm discovering how deep the rabbit hole goes (eg. the part of the post about writing abi-checker to find mistakes in rustc and discovering that things like GCC and LLVM don't match in places like 128-bit integers where they say they should) and, at the same time, this C guy is making worrying noises about 'To save C, we must change ABI things like the size of intmax_t' .
