If you use Emacs for programming, the native JSON support makes using LSP (Language Server Protocol) in supported buffers much more interactive / less laggy.

Calling GNU Emacs a “text editor” still feels weird. I mean, it really excels at letting you edit text, but that’s not its most relevant feature.
