We always had troubles with -Og (during a gdb session) and had to revert to -O0 -g

Perhaps they should fix -Og first? In particular an option for https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=78685 would be nice. But Og has many issues ( https://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=82738), and another unmaintained optimization option wouldn't help.
