Laptops with Rembrandt, Mendocino, and Phoenix APUs don't support S3. If you have an AMD laptop that supports s0i3 and have problems, please reproduce the issue using scripts/amd_s2idle.py. Attach the report to a bug report at Issues · drm / amd · GitLab and tag me and I'll look at it.

Thanks; it is though a sad perspective that Microsoft can just decide to nuke a proven, essential feature and replace it with a power-wasting compatibility quagmire, and few years later there is no way around it... In some time linux -- laptop compatibility tables may look like those of PostmarketOS for smartphones :L

For me, it's the other way around. I have abnormal issues of suspending as of late. Suspending never happens, and hanceforth it can't resume from vegetative state. I always have 5-6 USB devices plugged, might be related.
But when suspending works, it always resumes fine.
