    Nvidia still doesn't have wayland support and it's been years. There's been no progress on the new allocation API that was discussed (see https://github.com/cubanismo/allocator).

    Who's fault is this? NVidia's? Mesa developers? Who the hell has to be kicked in the butt to get things rolling?

      Mostly Nvidia. Wayland was pretty much done and support was fairly far along when Nvidia came out saying..." oh... we don't want to use the api you chose... re-write everything to use this other api instead." Which kind of pissed off (and rightly so) many of the developers of KDE, Gnome, wayland, etc who had already spent over a year (at that time) using the one api.
