I bought this game today and played ~20 minutes, so I have some results from this game.
Platform:
AMD A10-7850K
8GB 2166 MHz RAM
SSD Crucial MX100
Gnome Ubuntu 15.04 x64
Catalyst 15.7 (with --eon_disable_catalyst_workarounds)
Settings:
1920x1080
Vsync OFF
Standard settings + disabled shadows + particles on low
I had 15-20 FPS while played first single player mission related to infantry presentation. This is a good performance IMHO when we check ARMA3 requirements for Windows, however I'll try to run benchmark on Windows too.

Well if you buy it, the chance the Linux version stays improves. The classic chicken and egg problem.

I would go get it if I got a refund for not getting a product I paid for if they decide to not support it.

I'm for sure not spending $60 on a game that may not have a Linux version in the end.

With out of the box settings (Very High) with VSync on I get 60FPS.
With VSync off and depending where I am on the map I get between 57 - 117 FPS.
For this quick test I used Steams built-in FPS counter in settings.
I swear this game runs smoother than it does on my Windows 7 Pro.
