Gabe talked very positively of Linux in the GT.TV interview. Looks promising.

Said Beta was "very soon", so let's apply Valve Time to that.

They say the same thing... and they all attribute Michael as the source.

First of all, Michael didn't assume - he's just stating that there's a new game and it'd be a good opportunity for Valve to see if releasing a brand new game with a linux-native client will be profitable enough. He said it in a presumptuous tone, but it was more of a personal hypothesis than anything. Secondly, when was the last time Michael made an assumption, or better yet, when was the last time he made an assumption that turned out wrong? It's people like you who thought he was wrong about Valve supporting linux, I would think by now you'd learn to stop bitching and do what he really intends - spark a community discussion.

Why is that if something isn't proven and open source, there's always someone who tries to find something to complain about?

anyway, is that trailer how the game will look or is post-production applied? (how the terrorist hold's his Deagle before grabbing the bomb, the way he jumps over the railing)

Also it seems that the bomb carrier can't use his weapon as long as he has the bomb?!
There's lots of post-production lighting effects being used in the trailer, but it's "shot" in the game map with the game models. I think they updated the bomb model for the trailer though. The bomb carrier can still carry a weapon.
