Well, we'll know soon enough if they're going to announce at E3. Rumors have them announcing something regarding Linux support in the June-July timeframe this year.
It's keen if they do it. It's not that big a letdown if they don't.
Why don't we show our interest by running Steam under WINE with OS version "NT 3.5" which falls in the category of "Other" (0.23%) as of now?
I'm sure we could at least break free into an NT 3.5 category, which would have to be higher than 0.31% where 2003 64 bit is located right now.
This way Valve can see how many Phoronix forum readers want Steam for Linux... (unless this actually makes it to the front page news, which is highly unlikely)
Beware though, support for Windows 2000 and below ends on August 31st, don't know if it will run as NT 3.5 after that or just receive a stack overflow like all versions below NT 3.5 does now.
