    Assuming I understand this correctly, this actually fixes one of my objections to systemd-- the tendency to rely on newer kernel interfaces. I don't want to have to reboot to apply updates to systemd, but perhaps this live-patching feature could obviate that requirement.

    It just goes to show that sometimes "social" or "political" disagreements are just feature requests in disguise.
