    I don't get the focus on the home really. Mostly while traveling and out of the house do phones and computers get stolen (or lost). So you're one of those who does more with their phone than their laptop... Otherwise why would you say you should definitely have your phone encrypted by not necessarily your laptop or PC? To be fair, you came into a conversation related to improving cryptography; we did not come into a conversation about people who don't want to use cryptography. I'm not proselytizing you.

      Using a linux-native fs is secure enough.

        Honestly, you're not wrong. Your typical smash-n-grab street thug won't have a clue what to do with a Linux pc. He'll see the login prompt and game over. It's like the thugs who car jack a Porsche, then can't go anywhere because they don't know how to operate the manual transmission.
