    I got fed up with transparent hugepages ages ago so I decided to give them a rest.
    Dunno about nowdays though.
    Unfortunately, most of them nowadays, including Arch Linux.

    Fortunately, all Ubuntu based distros are defaulting to the sane upstream standard "madvise" option, thus the majority of desktop Linux users are unaffected from the huge latency spikes caused by transparent hugepages...
