    And this kids, right here, is a great example of why you want to upstream your code. The RT patchers just got a more compatible kernel without having to do any extra work.

        There will be extra work, just less than the extra work from chasing around changes. They still need to maintain it and, since they've been maintaining it out of tree for years, I think we can really trust they will
