    They choose that processor because its the one that has a TDP closer to a Laptop project, Altivec is a Bonus..
    Tell me what opensource laptop, other than himself, has such features like this one.
    If memory doesn't fail me it goes till 64 GB of Ram, has a powerful AMD eGPU, nvme, sata,etc, and everything else you can find in a recent laptop..

    Debian has a PPC64BE, and its number of packages doesn't stop to grow,
