Arguable, the 5-level paging support (on by default with 5.5, and support added for KVM) is the most important feature, even if it is only going to be something the hyperscalers (the Alibaba's, AWS's, Facebook's, Google's, and the Microsoft's.... that some consider to be the entire Internet), are going to need (yesterday?).

I can understand that people think it's cool to collect the SGI workstations they drooled over as kids and young adults, but is mainline really the place for long since obsolete hardware? If yes, then why doesn't mainline have support for tail end end Amigas or the Atari TT?
