On a UEFI install, /boot is /boot/efi right? The ESP partition? That can only be FAT32 right?

I'd say don't. F2fs makes the most difference on devices where the controller sucks, like SDcards or USB flash drives, or eMMC in smartphones.

On a SSD the storage controller is powerful enough that the difference between ext4 and f2fs isn't so clear-cut.

I thought that for ext-4-on-ssd you were supposed to turn journalling off to minimize writes. What does that do to ext4 performance?

I thought that the need to minimize writes on SSDs in a consumer environment ended in 2014 or something. Did you look at the write endurance (both specs and actual testing) of modern SSDs?

What does that do to ext4 performance?

on a SSD? nothing noteworthy. I hardly notice any performance difference on CF cards and other devices where you do have to reduce writes.
