KDE's Server Decoration Protocol allready implemented in, of course, KDE, GTK, Sway, Wlroots and even MPV. See also https://blog.martin-graesslin.com/bl...o-kwinwayland/

From the video it seems really good. It would be funny if budgie provided a wayland desktop before KDE.
