    Would these changes stream down to openSUSE Leap 42.2? I am primarily interested in the raspberry pi 3 support (instead of using Tumbleweed).

        Care to give any reference? Reality is showing the opposite. KDE release schedule was specifically adjusted for Leap 42.2. Argon and Krypton very recently added to the openSUSE landscape.
