    Progress never came easy, but luckily we have arch to bulldoze the way. I wonder in how many ways this will break my current system. But if you want to improve something, you have to break it first!

      just updated my 3 month old arch system with this glory,,, only half of my applications work, The lesser half, and half the programs that do work are very crash-prone. This is great. These mind you are the official repo packages, not the AUR ones, the AUR ones work fine, I just recompile, no prob.

      Unless I'm misunderstanding things... are the GCC devs (and Arch) actually encouraging linux distro developers to further break binary compatibility with older linux applications? Or is that all in my head? as if the lack of backwards compatibility wasn't bad enough already :/
