Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS Released & Ubuntu 15.04 Now In Feature Freeze

    Yesterday, Wayland and Weston 1.7 was put into Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet.
    I am glad it made it in.

    I hope they update to X.Org Server from 1.16 to 1.17 too, but maybe it is too late for that.
    As usual it seems that AMD is the culprit holding it back.

    It pisses me off that AMD is constantly dragging their feet with the Catalyst drivers and holding back innovation and development.

      The radeon driver (open source, not catalyst) in this release now supports Tropico 5 out of the box, at least on my GPU.

      Used to show a black screen or failed to start in 14.04 and 14.04.1.

          They also updated Mesa yesterday from 10.4 to 10.5-rc.

          You mean Mir?
          No, they are still developing Mir.
          Wayland is still available in the repository and can be installed by the user though.
