WUBI brought me back to Linux
I know this is an old thread, but I had used WUBI a few years back, so I knew it worked and could be un-installed if need be. I tried a Ubuntu 11.04 LiveCD and to my surprise everything woked including the sound and the microphone input which was something I could never get working n Win 7 or Vista! I figured, what the heck, I'll do a WUBI install. I run 11.04 in the "Ubuntu Classic" desktop and really enjoyed it. One thing led to another, I bought a second HDD, 1T and now have 5 or 6 distros installed and running! Performance hit or not, WUBI brought me back to Linux! My first install of Linux was a FREE Red Hat version around 1999! I had a quad boot computer back than! Win 98, 2 Linux versions and IBM OS2/Warp!
