    Now get it running on Vulkan too and refactor out all the UI code to a library called libblender or something.

          Well it needs to be accessible to people, it needs to be something easy.
          Python is a good choice because it is very popular and easy to use, plus it is dynamic.
          Nim would be terrible because it is a compiled language not an interpreted one, so it cannot even be used for scripting.
