    When I bought this CPU, I chose it for the highest single-thread performance at 65W TDP that I could get out of AMD, given what was available to me. That said, when I upgrade, I'm likely to just bite the bullet and go for something Zen 4 (since, as I understand it, Zen 4 will introduce a new socket) with DDR 5 RAM (for the mandatory ECC).
