Would this affect in any way the installation of KDE Plasma 5.21, which will be released in 2 days ?
I mean, if in the future I install Debian 11 and then KDE Plasma on top, will I get the latest version (5.21) or not because it was released after Debian soft freeze ?

It is likely that KDE 5.21 will not be available for Bullseye. The tracker page on https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/plasma-desktop informs that the last version of plasma-desktop to land on Debian was 5.20.5.

According to this blog https://www.preining.info/blog/2020/...-for-bullseye/ , 5.20 is planned for next Debian Stable

Latest version available in Testing is 5.20.5.

5.21 is not going to be available unless there is a major change of plans.

And will probably skip Debian 11 and jump straight to 12.

That's disappointing, I cannot really say that that Wayland was working fine for me before 5.21
Now, even if 5.21 it's in beta, it seems not to have any noticeable bugs on Wayland.

Those bugs currently of concern pertain to libgcrypt and libgcc-s1.
It's actually libcrypt, due to being split out of libc.

No it's not. What would you like to have instead? Sys-v, openrc, upstart, runit? Please let us know and explain why.

This version is so good that I decided to keep it to my son's laptop rather than using Testing as usual...
