Gnome is like communism. It heroically solves problems not present in other desktop environments. It turned out gtk 3 is a dead-way and now we have the same situation with vala. What a waste of resources and time.

The Trump fanboys in here are all fucking morons. Your post is more proof for that.

PS: Building a wall... collecting tariffs on imported goods ... hm. Where have I heard this one before? Oh yea. Right! The SOCIALIST German Democratic Republic!

As much as I like KDE, you could say the same about that camp.
Just look at the transitions from KDE3 to KDE4 to KDE5 or from QWidget to QML.

Maybe Xfce is the right DE for you.

Unfortunately that's not possible: the generated code is quite ugly, and was never intended to be manually modified.

From an european perspective is really funny how you see "communism" as an insult

In my experience, the FOX toolkit is more stable than Qt while also being more efficient. The only advantage Qt has is looking more modern out-of-the-box, but you can theme FOX applications very easily (either you code a better theme yourself or you let the users change it via FOX control panel or per app like Xfe does).

Our company depends on it because there really is no better alternative that would be cross platform, nice and fast (QML). I personally vouched for it and I still think it's the best of the rest.
But the amount of bugs is unbelievable.
FOX is also a cross-platform and extremely fast. Quite a lot of big name companies use it as well (see their website for examples). And it has way less bugs.

Agreed. I'm a Budgie fan and am not really a fan of them switching to Qt but I'll still give Budgie 11 a try 'cause it might not be so bad once the end result is there.

I live in post-communistic country, so it's not funny at all. What's worse communism didn't end. It evolved into something worse.
