Back on topic, I have thought that there would be no new features except bug/security fixes for the KDE 4.x series?

There will be no new features for kdelibs since 4.9 or so and kde-workspace (i.e. kwin and plasma) since 4.11. There will still be updates for applications and other libraries, possibly into 4.13 or beyond. The idea was to make a smoother transition compared to 4.0, with the old libraries supported with bugfixes for a longer time to make porting applications more seemless to users.

Why is it that every thread ends up becoming a troll-fest? Hopefully that the irritants are being banned more promptly so that they can learn how to behave themselves and not make a$$es of themselves.

Back on topic, I have thought that there would be no new features except bug/security fixes for the KDE 4.x series? If this article is to be believed maybe there's one last batch of goodies that the good KDE devs are putting in to put the icing on the (k)ake.

It's not difficult to just ban an IP address. Sure, he could work around that by posting from public locations, or other ways, but that's annoying and after a few bans it's likely he'd just give up and go to trolling a more easily accessible site.

I don't have anything against him creating flamebait threads like his "Gnome kills KDE" rubbish. After all, if people wants to loose their time arguing with him, that's their life.
But it is extremely irritating to have it jump on any KDE thread and polute them with his gibberish.
Of course I can ignore him but I still get all the answers to him, usually quoting his nonsense.

Gnome 3+ was dead on arrival remember Canonical helpped develop it it was not intell Gnome 3.10 that it was use able for many users
