Those guys who work on it should be hired by some company to work on something useful - since they created it they must be good programmers. By the time gnash is good to go into the masses flash is gonna be irrelevant.

Release often, release early

These guys needs to release often and release early.
They need to routinely tag new releases in a timely manner.
Perhaps in a schedule of six months, that way it can be pulled into repositories and so distributions can ship with the latest version that is usable, instead of an old version that is lacking.

Most people don't have the knowledge to build from source and install it themselves.

I Don't know if this is still the case (because of Shumway) but last I checked irc (over 2-3 years ago) the main issue was money.

SO they can't work on the project with 100% dedication

Flash and porno

Flash is still relevant on the web due to porno.

I really wish YouPorn, PornTube, Redtube and xHamster switched to HTML5 and <video>.
And that Reality Kings and Bang Bus Network switched to HTML5 video.

It would really help in getting rid of Flash from the web quicker.

I highly doubt it's legally binding anywhere, just more pressure from big companies on the little guys.

The problem with Gnash is that current version 0.8.10 doesnt work with any site not even a Youre-Tube
