And yes, Fedora Gnome 39 had issues. The problem affected both wayland and X11 sessions. Haven't seen such a problem in many, many releases. It's been fixed for a while now. Get over it.

Linux Mint already has LMDE, which is pretty successful. As for PopOS, basing off of Debian Stable is basically impossible due to their target audience, and the type of machines they sell.

Why would you not be able to run Debian Stable on a System76 PC?

In fact, there is an IRS rule that states that a business must make a profit, if you own a business, any type, sole proprietorship, LLC, corporation, whatever, and you net loses for 3 our of 5 years, the IRA will reclassify your business as a hobby and will not allow you to claim any business deductions come tax time.

There is on purpose for a business and that's to make money, if someone has some ideological goal they wish to pursue, it's a free country, feel free to pursue it on your own time, make as much money as you can and spend it to further the ideological goals you have.

If the System76 people are driven by some hallucinogenic GPL themed higher calling, they should make as much money as they can from the business and then use it sponsor any open source projects they want.

But keep business and pleasure separate.

i had bad experience with QT/KDE and after like 20 years of KDE i switched to gnome ...

Debian stable only updates once every what? 6 years? System76 PCs run either the latest, or close to the latest hardware. They'd have to run their own custom repos for updated kernels and drivers, as well as a bunch of software people want to use (and their dependencies). At that point, they're doing far more work than the few custom packages they throw on top of Ubuntu, and even then some of those custom packages will be replaced when COSMIC DE takes over as default.
