    Dav1d is used. See https://chromium.googlesource.com/ch...EADME.chromium

In fact you can compile chromium without system dav1d but then bundled version is used.

If only MPC-HC could grab TV streams and switch between them without crashing VLC >> MPC-HC.

PS: I´m talking about German TV Telekom Magenta TV.

avis, per your suggestion, I looked into MPC-HC, but the project's webpage says it has not been in development since 2017. Does this affect the program in any significant way, such as incompatibility with new formats or security issues?

          Releases · clsid2/mpc-hc (github.com)

Someome took over but the quality is not realy good in my opinion.

          Releases · Nevcairiel/LAVFilters (github.com)

And this is the integrated codec pack, i was a big fan of lav codec once but now it´s ~~.

Ah well but we wait for VLC 4.0 for years now aswell ~~.

The only thing VLC did was to release 3.19 with support for VSR.

Hrhr yes VLC supports NVIDA VSR i had to Troll on this one .

              Irrelevant.

Really, I just tried it and I think it sucks, compared to VLC and any other player?

Why I can't easily just right-click on the video and be able to select the audio language and subtitle language?

There are some icons at the bottom, but they are not intuitive at all.
The first one I don't know what it is, clicking on it show either 1/1 or -/1, WTF -/1 should supposed to mean?
The third one, which finally looks like an audio icon is just to turn off /on the sound, not to select the audio track, which I'm interested in 99% of the cases.
The second one is probably the subtitle track and it seems to work, but cycling through them is a pain compared to seeing a vertical list in a context menu like in VLC and other well designed players.
Plus, there's no menu, no setttings anywhere.
I never seen such a badly designed player.
Is there and fork or proper GUI for this player?

Because for me it suck so much that I find it completely unusable..

I only use VLC on Android and that's only because MX Player has turned into crap.
                I fully agree!

Especially with the MPC renderer or the MadVr one!

I with it was available for Linux too.
